I was a bit overwhelmed by the size of the ship at first - 11 levels of accommodation - but we found our cabin and it was big enough, nice beds, TV and tea/coffee, small shower and washing facilities. This was our first (and only) cruise on a big ship (with 4700 other passengers), starting from Rome on 22nd August, via train and bus to Civitavecchia port to board the ship, for an 11-day Mediterranean cruise. OUTSIDE: there is only one adult pool for 4K people? We might seems like very difficult person but I swear we are just two normal people who were on our honeymoon and are disappointed. Also, We were on the fifth floor, and the carpet smelled like urine, so they put some powder so cover the scent but I had a big allergy reaction I was not able to open my eyes for a whole day. If you are on a budget, too bad for you, you wait 3 hours to get out of the boat because you’re not part of the groups and have no more time to visit. Can at least the internet be free ? The excursions with the boat were so OVERPRICED! Minimum 300 per person. We had to pay 250$ to have unlimited wifi. You have also only 150 min for a BAD Internet connection. They even have a martini bar on the ship, but if you want an espresso martini, you need to go buy your espresso, then they make your martini. There is a Starbucks on the boat, and that’s were you get your coffee. PRICES: YOU NEED TO PAY FOR EVERYTHING, EVEN COFFEE! There is no coffee on the boat, except bad filter coffee. They say they want to help you, but gives the wrong information. Someone tells you something, and the other tells you other things. All from different countries, so not the same dialect. STAFF: the staff were kind and joyful, but barely spoke English. There was no supplies, even if you asked, the don’t give you 2 Kleenex boxes or 2 paper towels, so when you needed some extra, you had nothing with you. The towels were dirty, like someone used it before. The room service changed everything everyday, but still everything was not clean. We slept so bad and the sheets were DISGUSTING. The other shows were disappointing, you go on a 10 days cruise with 5 different shows, so what do you do the next 5 days ? ROOM: we had two single beds to make one bed, this was not ok. 1 show was really nice, burn the floor, dancers were awesome and that is why I give one star. Poor choice of restaurant, served all the same dishes and not good. This was the worst cruise we’ve ever had! We’ve paid 4K each for our honeymoon, and expected so much more! FOOD: The food was disgusting, so cold, no flavour, meat was uncooked and the bread was really hard to chew.

Complex lighting for scenes with multiple sources of light such as nighttime scenes with flashlights under moonlight, or scenes inside rooms with light coming from doors and windows, are impossible to achieve with traditional 35mm film. Capturing this in live-action is physically impossible. In Pinocchio there are scenes where characters swim above water in the sun, and into depths beyond the reach of sunlight. These are common visual effects in film (VFX), and Passingham’s software of choice was Dragonframe. It is our good fortune that Passingham once again recognised a seismic technological opportunity to enhance animation and embraced stop motion animation software for motion control and layering multiple exposures. Kathy Michelle Chacón interviewed Passingham to discuss how light and colour played a role in conveying big emotions to audiences. In this 22nd film adaptation of Pinocchio, Guillermo del Toro tackles big questions, and the qualities of the animation and storytelling deliver a melancholic punch that bruises beyond the film’s end. Cricket, “Pinocchio” narratorĪ still from Guillermo Del Toro’s Pinocchio (Image via Instagram/pinocchiomovie) “It’s a story you may think you know, but you don’t.” – Sebastian J. Perhaps that’s why he worked with Passingham to invent new animation techniques for “Pinocchio”, which is his most recent film. Director Guillermo del Toro regards Passingham as one of the best and most influential cinematographers in animation cinema history. He convinced Nick Park, the creator of “Wallace & Gromit”, to use the digital medium. Frank Passingham, inventor of several stop motion techniques, was an early advocate for digital camera technology. Digital cameras marked a milestone in the evolution of stop motion animation, particularly as sensors became resistant to overheating during continuous live view. The preferred technology for stop motion animation in its infancy was 35mm film. What is the technology behind stop motion animation? You can achieve incredible results with a smartphone, or elevate your creativity with professional gear. In this blog post I will walk you through installing software that is used by major animation studios today. Thanks to open source, the software and hardware to create sophisticated stop motion animated films is more accessible than ever before. Today you can make stop motion films on any budget Advancements in digital cinema have trickled back into stop motion animation, in particular. Digital cinema gained significant momentum in the early 90s, with well-funded endeavours from studios like Pixar and Disney. In 1993 “The Nightmare Before Christmas” was made by 120 workers, and was composed of 109,440 frames and 20 sound stages. The “Dynamation” technique introduced new ways to combine live actors with stop motion modelsĪfter the birth of the Internet, animated movies exploded in scale and popularity and so did the technologies behind them. Happens from both the topic list view and within the course view (iPad Pro 12.9, 3rd gen, iOS 15.1). I’d have to restart the app every time I bookmarked a course. Videos would keep playing, but there was no response to scrolling or other touch inputs, including that x-out to close the notification. Technically, it’s okay, but I recently found when trying to bookmark a course, the pop-up notification asking if I wanted to create a collection would freeze any other inputs. Ideally it would scaffold topics within a learning objective so you don’t have to piece together courses in order to achieve your learning objective You can create a collection, which is kind of the same idea, but because the content is developed separately, you may experience some overlap between courses. Sometimes, though, it would be nice to go deeper on a topic. This can be good or bad, sometimes a short course on a timely topic is what I need. We appreciate you taking the time to review the LinkedIn Learning app. Having a format where student can practice and learn-by-doing (a la Codecademy, even lightbot) would be ideal, but I realized this is a lot of work and MONEY that probably won’t be invested. I’d much rather get a copy of the PowerPoints the instructors use (which, oddly, seems to be the only thing omitted from giant exercise files) or cheat sheets to help me in the real world. Many don’t even have instructions enclosed. Additionally, the files I’ve seen are more samples than actual exercises to go thru. It’s a swivel chair nightmare and there is no time built in or guides that even tell you when to open the exercises. So in addition to taking forever to download, I found the exercise files I pretty useless. Lecture exercises can be files up to 2gb -zipped. If you want to learn a technical skill this app is extremely difficult to use. I don’t see ANYTHING with this app that makes it better value than lecture based competitors like udemy, courses, etc. I have a free membership thru my work enterprise, which, honestly, is the only reason I use it. If you’re looking for a lecture, it’s decent. iPhone 4S or later, iPod Touch 5th Gen or later. You can turn off auto-renew at any time from your iTunes account settings. The flat sales tax rate means you will pay the same rate wherever you are in the state, with two exceptions. New Jersey has a single, statewide sales tax rate. Expenses that may be deducted in New Jersey include certain unreimbursed medical expenses, New Jersey property taxes, Archer MSA contributions and, if you're self-employed, health insurance payments. Some forms of income that are not taxable include unemployment compensation, Social Security benefits, workers’ compensation and lottery winnings of $10,000 or less. The table below shows brackets and rates for filers in New Jersey.Īll of the rates above apply to New Jersey taxable income, which is total income (including capital gains) minus certain deductions, as well as the New Jersey personal exemption of $1,000. The state’s income tax ranges from 1.40% up to 10.75%, one of the highest top rates in the country. How do I install just the client tools for PostgreSQL on Windows Postgres. This is a random interval for each connection between 45 and 90 minutes. Sudo apt-get install -y postgresql-client psql -version psql. Since this library automatically creates prepared statements, it also has a default max lifetime for connections to prevent memory bloat on the database itself. Of course doing a series of queries, one awaiting the other will work as expected, but that's just due to the nature of js async/promise handling, so it's not necessary for this library to be concerned with ordering. There are no guarantees about queries executing in order unless using a transaction with sql.begin() or setting max: 1. The benefit of this is no weird generic "onerror" handler that tries to get things back to normal, and also simpler application code since you don't have to handle errors out of context. It'll automatically defer to the error handling you have for that query, and since connections are lazy it'll automatically try to reconnect the next time a query is made. Connections are automatically taken out of the pool if you start a transaction using sql.begin(), and automatically returned to the pool once your transaction is done.Īny query which was already sent over the wire will be rejected if the connection is lost. Queries will be sent over the wire immediately on the next available connection in the pool. This means that we get a much simpler story for error handling and reconnections. users.js import sql from './db.js' async function getUsersOver ( age ) ). Along the way, I'll offer some comparisons notes on last year's iPhone XR and XS, as well as the new iPhone 11 Pro and Pro Max. If you can manage to wade your way through the mucky waters of Apple marketing terminology and distinguish what it is from what it's being positioned as, you too will find that the iPhone 11 is a very good phone. The non-Pro 11 has the same processor as its more expensive siblings and has a camera that puts it on par with competing devices from other manufacturers. But it starts at $699, even less than the $749 starting price of last year's iPhone XR, the handset to which it's the clear successor. It is not a "Pro" phone, and it is not the most innovative smartphone available. There are the more powerful and more expensive Pro models-a $999 iPhone iPhone 11 Pro and the gargantuan $1,099 iPhone 11 Pro Max-made for people who prefer to ride the bleeding edge of mobile technology.Īnd then there's the iPhone for just about everybody else: the iPhone 11. The only negative was the water took longer to get up to temperature than it would if I were using a traditional immersion circulator. I cooked a beefsteak in the sous vide water bath at 129 degrees Fahrenheit for two hours, and it was excellent. So, you can enjoy tender and delicious meats, even when you're working with cheap cuts. The Instant Pot Duo Crisp has a sous vide function that the Foodi does not. Chicken seared in the Foodi had a nice, consistent crust, whereas the browning was more subtle on the Duo Crisp's chicken. The Ninja Foodi's pork was easier to shred and more flavorful. The Duo Crisp's pulled pork turned out good, though slightly dry. I slow-cooked a 3.5-pound pork shoulder in each unit for 10 hours on low. While the Ninja Foodi Deluxe was better at searing meats and slow cooking, we give the Instant Pot Duo Crisp the edge because it has a sous vide function. The Ninja Foodi did a better job of searing chicken than the Instant Pot Duo Crisp. The Instant Pot has a stainless steel pot that handles metal utensils. However, you can't use metal utensils without damaging it. I found that the nonstick ceramic coating of the Ninja Foodi pot made it easier to clean by hand. With the Duo Crisp, I needed additional shelf space for the second lid.Īside from the base and lids, all of the elements of each cooker are dishwasher safe. The Foodi's air fryer lid is attached by a hinge, making storage easier since both lids could fit on top simultaneously. The Instant Pot Duo Crisp has buttons for each function, while the Ninja Foodi relies on a dial for selecting functions and adjusting the time and temp, giving it a cleaner, less crowded appearance.īoth units come with separate lids for air frying and pressure cooking. Setting up both of the units was simple: I had them each up and running within five minutes. I give the Ninja Foodi Deluxe XL Cooker & Air Fryer the advantage in this category because of its convenient dial control, easy storage, and nonstick pot. Winner: Ninja Foodi Deluxe XL Cooker & Air Fryer The Instant Pot Duo Crisp took three minutes longer to make french fries than the Foodi. Stoop tells Roadblock that "home is where the help is" and agrees to lend Roadblock, Flint and Lady Jaye use of an old gym as a temporary base. The two engage in some friendly ribbing at first, the friend teasing Roadblock about his size, given that his parents were both 5' 2". The Joes discuss the attack and realize that the order to come to execute it must have come from the very top. Roadblock meets with an old friend named Stoop She tells him that they need to get moving, as whoever it was that attacked them will be back, and that he is the leader of the team now. He rages at Flint, who comments that there's nothing there for them, but Lady Jaye stops him, telling him that Flint didn't mean it the way he thinks he does. Afterwards, however, he returns to Duke's dead body and is devastated to have lost his friend.
