If its all Em I wanna kick it with you all night, all nightF Have a good time Em Aint gotta worry cause its all right, its all rightF All, and. Just conversing with Jeff Fong, Sunil, Jason Kim, Shahirah, and Reg at J.Kim's place is a way to get ready for madness that is SPOP 1. We are all talking about blogging and how it's a good way to not only write down our thoughts, but also a couple years from now, be able to reflect about what we were thinking about during our college years. I got Regina and Shahirah to potentially start one. ![]() Reading other blogs seems so intimidating. They get really deep into their thoughts and it seems like they think some crazy thoughts. I don't know if i ever think that way, but hopefully by reading the other blogs, I'll get inspired. ![]() Testo della canzone All Night (Big Boi), tratta dallalbum BOOMIVERSE. Until then, I'll just try my best.īut anyways, besides the crazy parties, Vegas trip, Arrowhead, trainings in SPOP, as well the SPOPs themselves, the one thing that i look forward to is these "kick back" moments, where you really don't do much with others except kick back, enjoy each other's company as well as good conversation. I want to learn/practice flat ground tricks as well but I remember getting incredibly frustrated that I couldn't even nail a shove-it back when I was riding somewhat regularly so I feel like just getting super comfortable cruising might be the first step.Įdit/addition: tangentially related, what do you do when bystanders see you skating and yell "do a kickflip" when you can't do anything remotely close to a kickflip? So far I just try to ignore them but the reminder that I'm being perceived when I don't have much confidence on the board to begin with can be kind of discouraging.I wanna kick it with you all night, all night. Figure it's better to skate now anyway and then upgrading the wheels will end up being a naturally higher priority). Have considered getting larger softer wheels for cruising but they're not in my budget at the moment and I don't want to be holding off on riding as much as I want to just because I can't afford a specific set of wheels (would probably just be a few weeks, but any time I find excuses to not do something right away, it just snowballs and before I know it I'll have spent another year not touching my board. I have a regular popsicle board, not sure of the exact wheels but they're fairly small and hard. Afraid that I'll fall in a busy intersection or something.Īny tips? Is this a mental thing that I just need to get over or should I be practicing more before I get to a point where I can skate from point A to point B? I have a helmet, but I'm still nervous about embarking on a longer trip than just around the block. I want to start just riding around as a form of transportation instead of driving short distances or walking ~20 to 30 minutes, for fun, speed, and to practice. Never got the hang of ollying on to or riding off of curbs. I was never more than a beginner, could do a shaky Ollie at times and tic-tacs, general riding around, small slopes. I'm getting back into skating after a couple years of not really touching my board. ![]()
